The project is the first phase of a 拢1bn regeneration development for the town. The 4,447m2 facility will house a new library, education facilities for adults, a caf茅 and a cultural centre.
The Curve is being developed by Slough Regeneration Partnership (SRP) which is a local asset backed vehicle (LABV) between Morgan Sindall Investments Ltd and Slough Borough Council
鈥淭he signing of the contract to build The Curve is an exciting and major step forward in achieving our vision to deliver a first class facility that puts learning and culture at the heart of Slough,鈥 said Councillor Mohammed Nazir, Slough Borough Council鈥檚 board member of the SRP. 聽
SRP was established in March 2013 for a period of 15 years and will also deliver a number of residential, leisure, education and commercial projects over this period up to a value of 拢1 billion. It will procure public works and commercial works from Morgan Sindall and house-building works from Lovell Partnerships.
The Curve is expected to open to visitors in 2015. The existing town centre library will continue to operate as normal until then.
