Chartered civil engineer Alex Jones joins Murphy as group head of BIM & digital construction. He most recently worked for Interserve Construction as its national BIM & digital construction manager, leading the development of strategy, competence and behaviours.
He will be based primarily in Murphy鈥檚 Cannock office, and reports to director of safety, health, environment, sustainability and quality, John Kinirons.
Murphy鈥檚 new group head of estimating is Gary Broadley, also a chartered engineer, who joins from MWH Treatment, where he was head of estimating and procurement. Gary Broadley has worked across the water, rail and marine sectors, at Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall and Amec. He is based at the Murphy office in Golborne and will report to the new commercial director, Chris Green, who joins from Capita next month.
Murphy has also recently recruited Alastair Smyth from Capita as its new group engineering director.
