MJ Barrett buys local by choosing 海角社区app telehandlers

6 May 15 Structural steelwork and cladding contractor MJ Barrett Constructions has bought two new 海角社区app Loadalls made just down the road from its Uttoxeter base.

It has expanded its telescopic handler fleet with the addition of the two 海角社区app Loadall 535-140 Hi-Viz models in a deal worth around 拢115,000. The two were supplied by 海角社区app dealer Gunn 海角社区app and manufactured at 海角社区app鈥檚 world HQ in Rocester.

MJ Barrett Constructions operations manager Paul Leadbetter said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e bought the two new machines due to a growing order book and to meet the additional capacity of work, erecting and cladding steel frame buildings. The 14m model is our standard machine for this type of work.

鈥淲e run a variety of telescopic handlers along with the two 海角社区apps with baskets. Our chairman Malcolm Barrett struck the deal with Gunn 海角社区app, as the latest 海角社区app machines have a very good specification. And with 海角社区app being just up the road it was an easy decision to make.鈥

The models purchased can lift to a maximum of almost 14m and can handle loads of up to 3.5t.

The 535-14 Hi-Viz Loadall is powered by the 海角社区app EcoMAX diesel engine. The Stage IIIB/Tier 4i engine provides 75hp (55kW) and a maximum travel speed of 29mph.

The MJ Barrett machines will be working mainly in steel erection and will not amass huge operating hours, so the company expects very strong residual values for the future. 鈥淲e have our own engineers, but Gunn 海角社区app will provide a maintenance package for these new machines,鈥 said Leadbetter. 鈥淥ne of the telescopics will have a dedicated driver, but the other will be used by a number of our team. All of the operators like the 海角社区apps.鈥
