The 11-storey office building, designed by Mossessian Architecture, is being developed by Argent for Google, the internet search people.聽

McMullen Facades, part of the Lakesmere Group, will design, manufacture and install of two distinct unitised fa莽ade types: one incorporating high performance glass units with Tuff stone; and the second featuring structurally bonded glass units with a detailed ceramic print on the external surface.

The Tuff stone is procured in Armenia, from where it will be transported to a stone specialist near the McMullen factory for final processing, before being factory-fixed onto the bespoke carrier systems of the unitised panels.聽

Both fa莽ade types will be tested in the factory before being submitted to an independent laboratory for certification to confirm compliance with the Centre for Window & Cladding Testing (CWCT) standards.

聽As part of its package of works, McMullen will also install the building鈥檚 inset balconies and main entrance colonnade, with work expected to start on site in early 2017.

聽McMullen Facades has previously worked on other parts of the King鈥檚 Cross development, including the Plimsoll Building, a 13-storey residential fa莽ade, and two new roofs on the refurbishment of the Midland Goods Shed and East Handyside Canopy buildings by Lakesmere.
