The contract is for the repair and refurbishment of Room 41, the Early Medieval Gallery including roofing, internal works and services upgrade.
The British museum holds in trust for the nation and the world a collection of art and antiquities from both ancient and living cultures. Its collections, which number more than eight million objects, are amongst the largest and most comprehensive in the world, originating from all continents.
Work has recently started on site and is due to complete in October 2012.聽
