The scheme will see the demolition of 40 old concrete-framed system-built Unity homes that were built in the 1950s and replaced with 64 modern energy-efficient houses and flats. The work takes place in Church Road, Croft Road and Thorne Road in Kelvedon.

The redevelopment work, to start this autumn, will create 36 houses, 27 flats and one bungalow. The first new homes are set to be handed over in spring 2017.

Lovell鈥檚 experience in redeveloping Unity houses includes an ongoing 拢13.6m scheme for Orbit Homes in Suffolk, which will provide 164 new homes.
Lovell was chosen to deliver the Kelvedon scheme by the e虏 Consortium 鈥� a group of five housing associations including Greenfields Community Housing. The company was selected from approved contractors on the Homes & Communities Agency鈥檚 Delivery Partner Panel 2 framework.
