Regeneration specialist Compendium Living, a joint venture of Lovell and The Riverside Group, has appointed Lovell for a 拢15.5m scheme to build 114 homes of varying sizes for open market sale in Liverpool. They are to be built on the former Joseph Williams School site in Belle Vale, where former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney went to the school between 1949 and 1953. The school closed in 1997.
In 2015, Lovell completed work on Joseph Williams Mews, a retirement complex built for Riverside that formed the first phase of the redevelopment of the Joseph Williams School site.
Meanwhile, in south Wales, Lovell also starts construction this summer on a 拢5.4m development for Hafod Housing in Bridgend. The design-and-build scheme, developed by Hafod in partnership with Bridgend County Borough Council, will see 48 new social rented homes built on a site once occupied by the Bridgend Town AFC football ground, near the town centre.
Building work in Bridgend is set to start in June 2017, with the overall scheme due for completion in summer 2018.
