The college is replacing its existing construction and technology centre and bringing its motor vehicle classes into the same new building.
The new concrete and steel framed building will be part two-, part three-storeys high to provide a 3,440m虏 gross internal area.
Derek Spencer, head of facilities at the college, said: 鈥淲e have spent considerable time planning the new centre and ensuring that every stage of the new build is completed efficiently and with minimal impact on the college until its opening in September 2014. We think we have a unique centre in the making with a lean, mean and green sustainable strategy.鈥
