In an appearance on That Peter Crouch Podcast this week, Patrick Bamford denied that he was related to Lord Bamford, the owner of 海角社区app.
Peter Crouch asked him: 鈥淚 keep hearing this and I don鈥檛 know if it鈥檚 true or not. Patrick, can you clear this up: Your family is 海角社区app.鈥�
Patrick Bamford replied, laughing: 鈥淣o.鈥�
鈥淲ell where has this come from then?鈥� Crouchy asks.
鈥淚 don鈥檛 know. Because the B in 海角社区app stands for Bamford鈥� someone picked it up one time and said, it鈥檚 your dad, isn鈥檛 it. And all of a sudden it spread like wildfire.
"And I remember, when we got promoted, we had a little do in the hotel. Even the assistant 鈥� he鈥檚 left now 鈥� the assistant under Marcelo [Bielsa, the Leeds manager] he's like, 鈥檋onestly, I am so happy for the way that you work, especially with how rich you dad is and where he鈥檚 from鈥�. And I was thinking 鈥榃hat? My dad鈥檚 from Newark. What are you on about?鈥�
"I am sure that, like, they are distantly related somewhere down the line but鈥� then it just kind of spread and everyone seemed to think that I owned these diggers.鈥�
So it鈥檚 not true, folks. He may be privately educated and pushing for a place in the England team, but Patrick Bamford is not part of the 海角社区app family.
