The company said that the move would offer customers 鈥榞reater clarity and a more seamless service鈥�.
Until now, access rental businesses Panther and Nationwide Platforms, along with vehicle mount specialists EPL Skylift, have operated under the umbrella brand Lavendon Access Services. This reflects Lavendon's aggressive acquisition strategy of recent years. Several acquired companies retained their own brand identity for a period because they were seen to have value.
The rebranding takes effect from 1 February 2012. The combined Nationwide Platforms will have a fleet of聽 more than 11,300 powered access platforms.
Nationwide Platforms chief executive Mike Potts said:聽 鈥淥ur customers will continue to do business with the same powered access specialists they have always dealt with. Now we鈥檒l be able to offer them access to our entire fleet, allowing us to make sure they have access to the right product, at the right place, every time.
