The contract with the Department of Information & Technology will see Nagpur converted into the country鈥檚 first major integrated 鈥榮mart city鈥�.
The scope of work will cover laying of 1,200km of optical fibres as the network backbone, creating 136聽 city聽 wi-fi聽 hotspots,聽 establishing聽 100聽 digital聽 interactive聽 kiosks聽 and聽 developing聽 city surveillance systems with 3,800 IP based cameras.
The city has also identified a strip of approximately 6km to be developed with additional 聽solutions such as smart lighting, smart transport, smart parking and smart bins.聽
