The improvements to Heathcote station include a new pedestrian footbridge with a lift and stairs, new forecourts on both sides of the station, an accessible toilet on the station platform, upgrades to commuter parking areas, 鈥榢iss and ride鈥� areas and bicycle storage facilities.
鈥淭his is great news for local residents, who are keen to see Heathcote Station become accessible to all customers 鈥� including those in wheelchairs, the elderly, families with prams and those with luggage 鈥� for the first time," said Lee Evans, member for Heathcote.
Detailed design for the improvements will now begin.
