The project will involve the complete refurbishment of the four storey Grade II listed office building and conservation work to preserve the original staircases and decorative brickwork.
The current demolition phase will make way for a new lift system and a re-modelled interior with an open plan office space on each floor.
The project is due for completion at the beginning of next year.
