It has been appointed to deliver the first section of NorthLink WA, which is made up of two projects with a combined value of AU$1.12bn (拢536m). The scheme is intended to enhance the efficiency and productivity of freight transport by providing an improved connection between Perth and the north west of WA.
John Holland will build the southern section, which will run from Guildford Road to Reid Highway and involves the construction of new bridges and interchanges and a flyover as well as highway upgrades.
Chief executive officer Glenn Palin said: 鈥淭his project will deliver key benefits for the community by increasing road capacity to reduce congestion on local roads and improve journey times. It will also provide significant safety and productivity benefits for Perth.鈥�
