It’s Mince & Tatties for Morris & Spottiswood.

31 Aug 11 Fit out, housing and maintenance contractor Morris & Spottiswood has been putting a smile on Scotland’s roads this summer.

Their fleet of vans travel to customers up and down the country and some of them have been emblazoned with good old Scottish phrases.

With vans saying things like Mince & Tatties, Salt & Sauce, Burke & Hare and Jack & Victor, we're hoping people smile when one goes by.聽 Already, the vans have been stopped by American tourists to take photos, members of the general public have phoned in to see what it's all about and our drivers get plenty of questions.

Chief Executive Chris Saxton explains: 鈥淚t was time to refresh some of our vans anyway and we decided to be a bit lighthearted. We talked about it with the van drivers first and they were all up for it.聽 Basically, we hope to make people smile as our vans pass by.鈥

Morris & Spottiswood have been involved in a number of high profile projects in Scotland over the last few months, including the Stirling Palace restoration and the refurbishment of Princes Square in Glasgow.聽 The company has also won maintenance contracts for Strathclyde Police and the University of Glasgow.聽聽 In construction, they are well advanced with the Garscube Road and Murano Street new builds for Queen鈥檚 Cross Housing Association.
