The first phase of the聽project sees the installation of a temporary聽Mess聽Kitchen, in the form of a single-storey modular building,聽capable of聽serving up to 500 personnel at three individual sittings. ISG Jackson will then commence the demolition of the existing聽Mess聽Kitchen and construct a new linked single-storey steel frame structure, with pitch tiled roof and brick fa莽ade, which will blend seamlessly with surrounding buildings. The commercial kitchen installation comprises innovative automated systems to enhance efficiencies and the building is designed to achieve an聽Excellent environmental performance rating under the Defence Infrastructure Organisation DREAM assessment protocol. The聽project is due to commence in May, with completion scheduled for May 2012.
