The contractor will build a steel frame multi-use sports hall facility for indoor cricket practice, hockey, football and basketball. The sports hall will feature a viewing area and is linked to a new two-storey pavilion building, which ISG will also deliver. The hybrid steel and glulam pavilion structure, which on plan is egg-shaped, will provide high specification changing facilities at ground floor level, with a bar, function and club rooms over the first floor. The pavilion is designed as a statement building with fa莽ade treatments including extensive curtain walling, masonry elements and cladding panels, whilst the sports hall will incorporate roof mounted photo voltaic cells. The project is due to commence at the beginning of September with completion scheduled for September 2012.
