It took first place on the Builders鈥 Conference BCLive list thanks to five wins, dominated by its 拢600m contract .
Mace also passed the 拢600m mark thanks to a half-billion-pound housing contract at the former Chelsea Barracks site.
In third place was Kier Group, with 拢318m of wins, comfortably ahead of fourth-placed Bouygues at 拢184.1m.
In total, the BCLive league table recorded 642 new contract awards in April with a combined total value of 拢4.99bn, well behind the 拢6bn won in March. Statistics suggest that March was a blip while April鈥檚 figures represent the industry鈥檚 new norm, said Builders鈥 Conference CEO Neil Edwards. 鈥 This feeling is reinforced by the cumulative year鈥檚 total which currently stands at just over 拢50 billion, equivalent to an average of around 拢4 billion per month. Whether this momentum can be maintained post-Election, however, remains very much in the lap of the Gods.鈥
