The project is part of a wider 拢150m scheme to develop Southampton鈥檚 Maritime Centre of Excellence.
The client鈥檚 contract administrators who evaluated the Hughes & Salvidge winning tender submission are, project managers Buro Four Project Services and Aecom company Davis Langdon quantity surveyors.
The unusual concrete structure requires particular attention to the behaviour of the post-tensioned frame.聽 Working adjacent to a residential area requires methods to minimise disruption. Noise, dust and vibration are constantly monitored.聽 Hughes & Salvidge鈥檚 experience was demonstrated to the client at prequalification and mid tender stages, that all potential risks will be addressed & mitigated.聽聽 95%+ of materials arising from the redundant structure will be recycled or reused on site.
Hughes & Salvidge鈥檚 competitive advantage has been built on the ability to understand the business needs of customers who are increasingly looking for delivery partners with a high level of expertise and technical know-how to complete the job safely, quickly and effectively.聽
