Kier Harlow鈥檚 contract has been extended to 31 January 2017 and environmental services have been added.
The 拢82.6m revised contract will see Kier Harlow continue to deliver its repairs and maintenance service to Harlow鈥檚 12,000 tenants and leaseholders, as well as provide street cleansing, landscaping, grounds maintenance, graffiti and fly tipping removal.
Kier Harlow is the joint venture company between Kier and Harlow Council set up in 2007 to carry out work including building repairs to social housing stock and the maintenance of Harlow's open spaces. The council estimates that the revised contract will save it 拢4.41m over the next five years 鈥� equivalent to a 5.1% reduction in the cost of the contract 鈥� through back office savings and restructuring.

Not only has Kier Harlow provided an exemplar repairs and maintenance service continually receiving above target customer satisfaction scores 鈥� this current year has seen a stable rise of 3% compared to last year now averaging at 93%, we have also worked with the council to establish new revenue streams and will continue our bidding for work from other organisations, like the current 拢10m repairs and maintenance contract we provide for South Essex Homes.
