Caterpillar vice presidents Paolo Fellin, Greg Folley and George Taylor have, between them, 80 years of service at the company but all are now retiring in August 2017.
Paolo Fellin, vice president of the global construction & infrastructure (GCI) division, will be succeeded by Damien Giraud, currently worldwide product manager for Caterpillar鈥檚 large excavators.
Paolo Fellin joined Caterpillar in 1980 in Switzerland and has been vice president for GCI since 2013.
His successor, a Frenchman, joined Caterpillar in 1998, following a seven-year career with Colas Group. He will be based in Geneva.
鈥淒amien brings an exceptional focus on our customers to this position,鈥 Caterpillar CEO Jim Umpleby said. 鈥淭hat customer focus combined with his global work experience, deep industry knowledge and his strong and transparent communication skills make him ideally suited for this position.鈥澛
Greg Folley, Caterpillar vice president of the industry solutions, components & distribution division (ISCD), and George Taylor, vice president of the marketing & digital division, are also retiring.
Their divisions are being reorganised. Chris Snodgrass, currently general manager for Caterpillar鈥檚 industrial power systems division (IPSD), becomes vice president of the newly created product support & logistics division (PSLD). Caterpillar is searching for a vice president to lead a new digital enabled solutions division.
As part of the reorganisation, Caterpillar鈥檚 marketing and brand organisation will become part of the existing global aftermarket solutions division, which is led by vice president Nigel Lewis.
