Morrison Construction will build a new 23,000 m2 community hospital on the existing Roodlands Campus in Haddington, East Lothian.聽

Galliford Try's facilities management business has been selected to provide ongoing hard facilities maintenance and lifecycle management to the new hospital. This contract will be worth approximately 拢32m over the 25-year period.

Galliford Try Investments will also be investing and providing management services to the company that is being set up to fund the project.

Peter Truscott, who started work as chief executive of Galliford Try this week, said: "We are delighted to have been selected by Hub South East Scotland for this major project in Haddington. This appointment demonstrates the capabilities of our combined offering across construction, facilities management and investments and we look forward to working with Hub South East Scotland and NHS Lothian to create the top class facilities the local public deserve."

As previously reported, Peter Truscott joins Galliford Try from Taylor Wimpey, where he was divisional chairman, south and a member of the group management team. Peter joined George Wimpey in 1984 and worked at Cala Homes from 1993 to 1996, before re-joining Wimpey where he held a succession of senior management positions.

He succeeds Greg Fitzgerald, who will become non-executive chairman from 1st January 2016 until the annual general meeting in November 2017 when the plan is that the current deputy chairman, Peter Ventress, will take over as chairman.
