The Great Ancoats Street development will have 119 apartments over 12 storeys. Designed by architect IDP Group, the building will be clad in oxidised metal panels to fit in with neighbouring structures.
Construction begins this week and completion is expected in summer 2017.
M-One Central follows Forrest鈥檚 work in delivering both X1 Eastbank and X1 The Plaza, which are private rented sector (PRS) apartment blocks, also on Great Ancoats Street.
IDP Group associate director Andrew Leaver said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 an exciting time to be working on one of the many new buildings changing the Manchester skyline. The city鈥檚 red brick architecture is iconic and M-One has been designed to recognise the existing look and feel of the area, offering buyers modern, open-plan living in a vibrant neighbourhood.鈥
Forrest development director Ted Macdougal said: 鈥淎s more people embrace city centre living in key locations such as Manchester and London, the demand for new residential developments is rising. We have a proven track record in delivering these kinds of high-rise schemes, which puts us in the perfect position to capitalise on this wave of opportunity.鈥
