Finland starts building floating homes destined for Dubai

25 Jan 17 Finnish developer Admares is building housing in Finland that will be floated out to Dubai later this year.

Admares has been awarded phase 1 of the Marasi Business Bay development in Dubai. The Marasi Business Bay is being developed by Dubai Properties.

The 聽Admares scope of work will include 10 water homes, 2 restaurants and an exclusive yacht club, all of which are floating buildings. The structures will be designed, managed and manufactured in Finland by 聽Admares.

The Marasi Business Bay development will include the longest waterfront promenade in the Emirates and the UAE鈥檚 first-ever homes on water with pedestrian and boat access. There will also be restaurants, leisure facilities and five palm tree-lined yacht marinas with approximately 700 berths, alongside floating retail and food and beverage outlets, shopping, leisure and entertainment facilities and a yacht club.
