The company will provide energy, maintenance, cleaning and security services at the complex鈥檚 three hospitals for 15 years.
In the area of energy efficiency, the company will upgrade the facilities to optimise performance, at no cost to the administration. Primary energy consumption will be reduced by over 15%, while CO2 emissions will be cut by more than 53%. Ferrovial Services will also implement quality indicators for the services and supplies and will report regularly on attainment of the targets.
鈥淭his contract strengthens Ferrovial Services鈥 position in the hospital management area,鈥 said Ignacio Gast贸n, general manager of Ferrovial Services Spain. The company is currently expanding and upgrading the Valdecilla Hospital in Santander and delivering non-medical services there under a 20-year contract. It is also in charge of maintenance of the La Paz hospital in Madrid and Virgen del Roc铆o hospital in Seville.
