The contracts are worth a combined BRL224.8m (拢55.1m). Ferrovial and Toniolo Busnello鈥檚 work involves the construction of three tunnels - one of them 747m long - and five viaducts, the longest of which is 845m in length.
鈥淭his contract expands Ferrovial Agroman鈥檚 international presence as it is our first project in Brazil,鈥 said Ferrovial Agroman CEO Alejandro de la Joya.
The work is for contracts 6 and 7 of a project to widen the Serra do Cafezal section the R茅gis Bittencourt highway, BR-116, in south-eastern Brazil. The R茅gis Bittencourt toll road, owned by Brazilian operator Arteris, is one of the country鈥檚 most heavily-transited roads.
Ferrovial Agroman has been strengthening its international footprint in recent years. In 2013, 70% of its total revenues came from outside Spain and international contracts also accounted for 70% of its backlog.
