Expanding civils firm ECL buys 18 º£½ÇÉçÇøapp excavators

20 Oct 11 Bedfordshire-based ECL Civil Engineering has purchased 18 º£½ÇÉçÇøapp tracked excavators as it aims to capitalise on the upturn in the construction industry.

The company has taken delivery of three º£½ÇÉçÇøapp 8065, six JS130, one JZ140, one JS145 and two JS220 models with a further two 8065 and three JS130 machines on order.

The midi and heavyline tracked excavator models join an existing fleet of both º£½ÇÉçÇøapp and competitive excavators.

ECL was recently commissioned to carry out road construction, sewerage installation and ground works at a series of high profile new-build housing projects. These include the Barratt Homes, Merchant Taylor Place development in Croxley Green, Watford, where many of the new º£½ÇÉçÇøapp excavators have been in action.

The 13-22 tonne models bought by ECL are part of º£½ÇÉçÇøapp’s 18 strong JS Auto range – which it describes as the most powerful, productive and efficient excavators the company has ever built.
