EM, a subsidiary of Mouchel, scored 140 out of 180 under the Highways Agency鈥檚 strategic alignment review tool (StART) assessment.
In second place was Carillion Civil Engineering with 133; Skanska Civil Engineering was third with 132; and Costain fourth, scoring 131.
Bringing up the rear were: Galliford Try on 101, BAM Nuttall on 95; and Lagan Construction with 92.
StART is benchmarking tool to provide the Highways Agency with a detailed assessment of the supplier鈥檚 alignment to the agency鈥檚 own strategic direction. The more that the supplier positions its business in alignment with the Highways Agency as its primary client, the higher its score is likely to be.
The assessment reviews how well the contractors were aligned in six key areas 鈥� leadership, collaboration, supply chain, delivering value, diversity & inclusion and sustainability.
