The construct-only contract with the state鈥檚 Roads & Maritime Services will generate revenue of approximately AU$145m for the Cimic Group subsidiary.
The upgrade works involve the stretch between Tuggerah and Doyalson in the Central Coast region. The 12km section will be widened to three lanes in each direction and includes 9km of carriageway reconstruction. There will also be improvements to two key interchanges and the widening of two bridges.

The M1 Pacific Motorway is a critical link in the National Land Transport Network and part of the Sydney to Brisbane corridor, one of the busiest transport corridors in Australia.
Preparations for construction are expected to start in the coming weeks with project completion expected in 2019.
