In the year to 31st July 2022 Emerson Crane Hire generated sales of 拢12.19m (2021: 拢9.58m). Pre-tax profit grew to 拢967,000 (2021: 拢262,000).
Owner/director Liam Clancy wrote in the company's annual accounts : 鈥淭he 27% improvement in sales has come from major contracts now up and fully running, following prior year investment into sales staff and very clear pricing strategy. There is an ongoing requirement for cranage with the level of construction infrastructure projects continuing at the current rates over the coming years.鈥�
During the financial year the company invested 拢2.9m in four new mobile cranes and placed 拢3.4m of orders for a further three new cranes.
Spearheading the newcomers is a 450-tonne Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 (pictured below) with seven-metre fly jib and carrying 24 tonnes of counterweight for UK operation. This fleet flagship will share the luffing jib from an earlier machine and comes equipped with Variobase, Varioballast and remote control technology. 聽Four other models, ranging from 60 to 110 tonnes capacity, are also currently on order.
Liam Clancy said: 鈥淭he company will continue to invest and expand its fleet of cranes in the coming years to ensure that it is positioned for future contracts and customer requirements.鈥�
