Costain, in conjunction with Business Wales, is hosting a free event in Newport on 3 December to help prospective supply chain participants to gain a foothold on future projects in Wales.
Backed by the Welsh government, the event is called Engagement and Opportunities with Costain. There will be an opportunity to hear about the Welsh government鈥檚 infrastructure plans and meet Costain project teams.
鈥淭here is a wealth of talent and expertise within the SME sector and this event gives potential contractors an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities and grab the attention of the project teams delivering these influential schemes on behalf of the Welsh government,鈥� said Costain assistant supply chain manager Sarah Thomas, who is organising the event.
鈥淐ompanies will be able to put a face to a project they have perhaps heard about on the grapevine. It will be an introduction to the team who is delivering the project, rather than just buyers, and they will also have the opportunity to build relationships within Costain across various sectors,鈥� she added.
鈥淲e will also provide them with tools to push their business forward, whether it is through one of our tender or technology workshops, or through our Supply Chain Academy, or through sharing our own initiatives with them.鈥�
Also on hand will be the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), Sell2Wales, the Carbon Trust and Achilles, the procurement and supply chain management service organisation.
