Wigan Council is seeking a contractor to design and build a new road into the town centre through the south of the borough, called the A49 Goose Green to Westwood Park link road.
Although the details of the scheme have yet to be finalised, it will incorporate three major structures to bridge existing watercourses, canals and a primary road.
The council estimates that the project value will be in the range of 拢17.5m to 拢21.5m
