The airport outside Gothenburg has become increasingly busy in recent years and needs to be extended. 鈥淎bove all, we need to be able to accommodate larger airplanes and manage the flow of passengers coming from non-Schengen countries,鈥� said Charlotte Ljunggren, airport director at G枚teborg Landvetter Airport.
NCC鈥檚 assignment involves adding three gates for planes and two for buses to the existing terminal. When finished, the terminal will be approximately 10,000m2 and it will be possible to separate arriving and departing passengers.
The aim is to secure BREEAM certification at a rating level of at least 鈥榁ery Good鈥�.
The first steps involve preparing the organisation, project engineering, construction documents and target price. The estimated order value of SEK760m includes project engineering, preparatory work and construction of the terminal. The principal contract is scheduled for completion during the second quarter of 2017. NCC will begin preparatory work this autumn.
