Constructionline describes itself as the UK鈥檚 largest register of pre-qualified contractors and consultants. Procurement For All does the buying for 16 housing associations.
The four-year framework incorporates new build and internal works including central heating, kitchens and bathroom installations for 16 housing providers across the UK.
Procurement For All will use Constructionline to assess and monitor bidders to government standards using its online procurement system, which currently has more than 22,000 pre-qualified contractors, consultants and material suppliers.
The consortium will also use Constructionline鈥檚 鈥榤eet the buyer鈥 events and supplier days.
Constructionline client relationship manager Michael Waddington said: 鈥淭he framework represents the significant opportunities available to contractors in the housing sector.
鈥淯sing Constructionline means Procurement For All will be able to save time assessing individual pre-qualification questionnaires, for the wealth of suppliers likely to bid over the lifetime of the framework, while also gaining access to the largest register of contractors in the UK.鈥
Procurement For All managing director Keith Armstrong said: 鈥淎 key goal of Procurement For All is attracting SMEs to bid for work, and we will be drawing on Constructionline鈥檚 services as well as its various engagement initiatives to encourage and help them to tender.鈥
First established in 2005 in response to the then government鈥檚 Gershon Report 鈥 which called for increased efficiencies within the public sector 鈥 Procurement For All oversees more than 拢45m of construction work every year on behalf of 16 housing associations in the UK. Included in this number are six shareholders 鈥 St Vincent鈥檚, Muir Group, Equity Housing Group, Johnnie Johnson Housing, Leeds Federation and Accent Group.
