The team鈥檚 US$985m (拢643m) bid was announced as the 鈥榓pparent best value鈥�, with the cost of the design-build contract between Madera and Fresno estimated by the CHSPA at between US$1.2bn and US$1.8bn.
The Dragados/Samsung/Pulice JV was placed second in the process with a bid of US$1.08bn.

In the competitive bidding process, five teams had submitted proposals to CHSPA for the contract.
