The six storey design and build contract on Linthorpe Road, and named, 鈥淟inthorpe Hall 248鈥�, was completed in advance of the 2011 academic year and accommodates students from Teesside University.
Richard Hird, Director of property development company Penza Properties Ltd, said: 鈥淭he property is located on a main road in the town centre and is surrounded by shops, bars and pubs, which presented a number of construction challenges 鈥� access being the major one.聽 We also needed the development completed on time and on budget.聽 Caddick Construction were 鈥榯op of the class鈥� on all counts and we were very pleased with the way they approached and delivered the project.鈥�
Caddick Construction Managing Quantity Surveyor Chris Wilson said: 鈥淭his has been a very interesting project to work on.聽 The town centre location and difficult access meant that we had to build from the inside out.聽 We were also very conscious of the client鈥檚 requirements to have the project completed by the beginning of the academic year and worked hard to meet their targets.聽 It has been a very successful project.鈥�
