Confined Space training usually requires a large proportion of practical content to enable operatives to work competently in confined spaces, which has made it difficult to conduct training at the clients premises.  Quality training can now be conducted at a client’s premises – saving on operatives travelling time, overnight stay, etc. The facility also provides a safe controlled environment for the training, without jeopardizing any exciting realism.
The unique vehicle is based on a long wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter van and has 2 extending sections - increasing the size to nearly 3 times that of the vehicle. There are 2 working platforms, one providing davit arm access and one providing tripod access. These allow vertical decent into 2 chambers which are linked by a tunnel labyrinth.
A variety of features mean real work scenarios are simulated – so that operatives are, for example,  sent into the confined space to blank a section of pipe work or re-wire an electrical junction box.
A full range of training courses can be conducted on the vehicle – Confined Space up to rescue level, including all the City and Guilds Accredited 6150 courses; Breathing Apparatus (self contained and airline); and also Working at Height. This is all supported by qualified and interesting instructors to make the course as interesting learning as is possible for the candidate and ensure they walk away as competent operators.
