Bouygues UK, a subsidiary of one of the world鈥檚 largest construction groups, has offered Construction Youth Trust (CYT) a three year donation as part of Bouygues UK鈥檚 Corporate Sponsorship Programme.
Christine Tonwley, Director of CYT - a charity that supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into training and employment in the construction sector - has expressed her delight about receiving corporate support from Bouygues UK. 鈥淭he Trust is so pleased that Bouygues UK is supporting CYT鈥檚 mission and objectives through a generous corporate donation. We see this as the beginning of an exciting new relationship between Bouygues UK and ourselves. We are looking forward to working closely together to help young disadvantaged people enter the construction industry.鈥�
In addition to the corporate donation, Bouygues UK is working in partnership with the Construction Youth Trust and the National Construction College to run two week employment-geared training courses for residents of Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. This is the second time Bouygues UK has run the scheme, following a successful trial earlier this year. Creating training and employment opportunities for the communities in which the company works is a key aspect of Bouygues UK鈥檚 CSR strategy and the company is committed to its long-term success.
