The company has also won an electrification contract in Gabon worth almost €50m. ETDE, the energy and services division of Bouygues Construction, will install a 63km high voltage line and associated works.
The €150m Paris scheme will be carried out by Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France and involvbes redevelopment of the neighbourhood surrounding the disused Laennec hospital, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. The project consists of three distinct contracts.
The first concerns the construction of a series of buildings totalling roughly 16,400m² for Altaréa Cogedim, for a total of approximately €68 million. Designed by architect Valode & Pistre, the buildings include 191 luxury apartments available for purchase, a gerontology centre, a 50-room student residence and shop units.
The second contract is for an office development of 2,000m2 for the same client. It will consist of two buildings re-constructed to restore the original configuration of the site, for a total of roughly €15 million.
A third contract, signed with Allianz, concerns the renovation of listed buildings to be converted into offices with an area of more than 17,200 m2, for a total of roughly €66 million.
The former hospital, two of whose buildings date back to the 17th and 18th centuries and are partially listed, will be renovated and converted into offices.
Completion of the project is scheduled for the third quarter of 2013, after more than two years of works (27 months). More than 600 people will be working on-site at peak periods.
