The consortium for the public-private partnership is made up of Bouygues Construction, with Bouygues Travaux Publics as lead firm and DTP Terrassement, together with Colas Rail and Colas Midi-M茅diterran茅e, Alstom Transport, Spie Batignolles and financial investors Meridiam and Fideppp.
The deal is for a 25-year term and covers the design, financing, construction, operation, servicing an maintenance of new freight and passenger rail infrastructure between N卯mes and Montpellier. Of the total track length of 80 km, 60km will be main line and 20km will be connecting track.
The works will involve both the consortium members and their engineering consultants, Systra, Setec and SGTE. Many small regional businesses will also be brought in to assist in the project.
The members of the consortium working on a target for financial close of the first half of this year.
