The event is expected to attract some of the UK鈥檚 leading engineering companies, architects and developers.
BS2鈥檚 launch party is expected to host some of the major players from various markets to celebrate the launch of this new company that has been formed to create more choice for clients in the High Rise market and for other major building projects.
Held at the Vinopolis, in the heart of Bankside and close to BS2鈥檚 office in Southwark, guests will be given the chance to meet members of both the Bourne Steel and Billington Structures teams who will discuss the BS2 initiative, its objectives and its benefits to the construction industry.
The event will be opened by BS2鈥檚 Non-Executive Chairman, Tom Goldberg MBE.
Mr Goldberg has overseen major UK commercial projects such as Broadgate, London Bridge City and Canary Wharf and, in recent years, has built his own international steelwork group in China, Germany, Poland and Ukraine. He has also been Chairman of Yorks & Humber International Trade Board and in 2009 his passion and drive for the industry was rewarded when he was given an MBE for his services to international trade.
Tom Goldberg MBE comments: 鈥淭his is an extremely exciting period for both Bourne Steel and Billington Structures as we celebrate the launch of BS2. We expect to welcome some of the major players of our industry to this event where we will discuss, debate, and look forward to this new chapter. In the capital, the focus for BS2 will be upon hi-rise towers.聽 I am delighted to be Non-Executive Chairman of such an exciting venture between these two well-established companies.鈥
David Sands, Chairman of Bourne Steel comments: 鈥淭he build-up is almost over and we are ready to launch BS2. This Joint Venture will allow the combination of Bourne & Billington to bid for all major, national projects and give clients a new choice. We would like to thank those who have provided positive feedback thus far and we look forward to seeing some familiar faces and of course meeting new ones at our launch event.鈥
