This brick, however, is a limited edition 鈥� it was made (and signed) by Mayor of London Boris Johnson on a visit to Ibstock鈥檚 Chesterton factory last month.
The so-called 'Boris brick' was put up for auction at the Brick Development Association (BDA) annual awards dinner last week and raised 拢600 for the Construction Youth Trust.
Mr Johnson commented: 鈥淭he Construction Youth Trust is a very worthy cause, working to enable young people to realise successful careers in a booming industry. I鈥檓 so pleased that so much money was raised.鈥澛�
