Tom Blackwell has bought two 30-tonne class Bell B30E ADTs.
A longstanding Bell customer, the company already had eight Bell D-series models in its 20-strong ADT 蹿濒别别迟.听
The first of the models has already been put to use, moving overburden to expose sand and gravel.聽 The in-board braking system used by the E-series is seen as a key feature here.
鈥淪and and gravel can be very abrasive on conventional brakes, and we see in-board as the way forward for ADT braking,鈥� said Sam Ratcliffe, contract manager at Tom Blackwell.
He also likes the fuel efficiency of the E-series using Bell Fleetmatic fleet management system.聽聽
鈥淔leetmatic is a fantastic management tool and has long been a major selling point for us, as it allows us to see usage patterns for ongoing evaluation of each machine鈥檚 performance,鈥� Mr Ratcliffe added.聽 鈥淏ell outperforms other brands in our fleet every day of the month.聽 The print-outs from the trucks show there is no comparison in terms of the cost per tonne, and Bell machines are easier on our tyres as well compared to other brands.鈥�
