It will be built next to the existing Flitwick leisure centre, which will be shut down once the new facility is completed. The two-storey building will include a swimming pool, a fitness gym and a sports hall.
The council has gone out to tender for a design and build contractor. Estimated contrat value is 拢9m to 拢11m.
The aim is to start construction in September, with completion by the end of 2015.
