This centre provides customers around the world with a comprehensive solution for a successful project right from the start.鈥�
鈥淢uch of the growth for new railways and ports is in the Gulf region,鈥� said Bechtel鈥檚 regional president for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East David Welch. 鈥淲e have worked in this region for more than 70 years, and our decision to base the center in the UAE represents part of our ongoing commitment to the region.鈥�
The centre will draw upon Bechtel鈥檚 global experience in the design and construction of railways and ports, and will offer services from masterplanning studies through to engineering execution.
The new centre will open in the third quarter of 2013.
