With completion due in December 2020, Tameside鈥檚 construction skills centre will include specialist learning spaces to train plumbers, bricklayers, painters, electricians and joiners.
The two-storey development is the next phase of 鈥榁ision Tameside鈥�, the college鈥檚 transformation of its entire estate, which already features Clarendon Sixth Form College, an Advanced Technologies Centre, TCFE and Tameside One.
The new building has been designed by Manchester-based 10 Architect.聽 The college鈥檚 project team also includes Fusion Project Management, Arcadis, Waterman Building Services and Scott Hughes Design.
College principal Jackie Moores said: 鈥淲e are delighted that Bardsley Construction, as a local employer, will build our new construction centre.聽 This building is an important addition to Tameside College for the people of Tameside.鈥�
