‘Tuned In! @ MyPlace’ will provide facilities for 13-19 year-olds in a range of activities, from music and drama to film-making and theatre production.
Councillor Joan Guy cabinet member for education and children’s services said: "This is a fantastic stage in the project and is really bringing to life what has been an exciting collaboration between ourselves and the young people of the borough. The centre will feature six zones including a multi-media suite, art studio, and performance area as well as a café bar and a one-stop advice facility.’
Construction Work at the Coatham site is confirmed as being due to start in early July. BAM has selected 22 local buyers to work with it on the design and build project. The company also built Redcar and Cleveland College and is at work on a number of projects north of the county in the Newcastle area.
