BAM will build a new home for Coventry University鈥檚 Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, which encompasses sports science, materials science, social care and nursing.
The new five-storey science & health building will have 11,260m虏 gross internal floor area and 7,015 m虏 net internal area. It will link to the university鈥檚 existing sports centre via a shared atrium.
The university says that 鈥渢he vision is to consolidate the existing science laboratory and health simulation facilities into a new modern multidisciplinary building that will include state-of-the-art healthcare simulation, research and 鈥榮uper-lab鈥 environments鈥.
The project also involves construction of a separate two-storey energy centre that will provide energy to the Health & Life Science quadrant.
Construction is expected to take 26 months to complete, with opening in 2017.
