The contract value for BAM for both projects totals to approximately €85m (£77m).
The work in Jordan is for a joint venture of Aqaba Development Corporation and APM Terminals. BAM will extend the quay wall by 460m and develop the area behind the wharf into a container yard. A combination of physical and operational improvements have been implemented at the terminal since 2006 to increase capacity. Â
The Liberian contract is for the design and construction of a 600m quay wall for a container terminal in Monrovia. BAM Infraconsult will be responsible for the design. Client for the scheme is APM Terminals.
