聽As well as a dedicated facility for officer safety training and fitness assessments, the scheme will create some limited additional meeting rooms, office accommodation and support rooms.
The building is being designed to reach BREEAM Excellent standard and will embody sustainable design principles. The scheme is planned to include a green roof, photovoltaics, a biomass boiler and timber roof beams.
聽Work is expected to start on site in September 2012 and to complete in September 2013.
Construction director Bob Sanders said: 鈥淲e took a lot of time to understand the client鈥檚 brief and are delighted to be able to use our skills and experience to deliver a sustainable, progressive training facility for police officers in the Thames Valley.鈥
